Dear ESNers, Dear Guests, Dear Friends,
Please note that the closest airport to Lausanne is Geneva Airport.
From Geneva Airport, you can reach Lausanne directly by train [Genève Aéroport-Lausanne] (tickets available here: www.sbb.ch) and the one-way ticket costs 26.-CHF (approx. 22.50€).
The OC is checking options to organise a pick-up service from Geneva Airport. We will keep you posted.
Love, the OC.
As you can see below, travelling by train in Switzerland is pretty expensive... But there are Supersaver train tickets here to make you life a little bit easier (and cheaper!)
You can travel on many Swiss trains with a discount of up to 50%. You can buy supersaver tickets online and via the SBB Mobile App.
Supersaver tickets are very common and useful but they are for specific trains at specific hours. Note that supersaver tickets are not always available.
This means that you should know when you land and which train exactly you should try to buy your supersaver ticket for.
Our lovely Sophie Girardin (NR of Switzerland and OC member) is here to help you with the timetables : firstname.lastname@example.org
