What is the CND

What is the Council of National Delegates?

The Council of National Delegates (CND), composed by all National Representatives (NRs) and 2 delegates per country is one of the main strategic bodies of ESN International. The CND is an enlarged CNR (Council of National Representatives), which represents the main legislative body of ESN International, its "parliament".

The CND collaborates with the International Board (the executive body of ESN) on a joint approach for the strategy and the policy making of ESN.

The CNR meets in total six times each year, in which various topics of importance of the local, national and international level are discussed and voted on.

Why a CND in Lausanne?

As members of ESN International, the two local sections ESN Uni Lausanne and ESN EPF Lausanne decided to join forces in order to welcome one of the most strategic bodies of the organisation for a 3-day conference. ESN Uni Lausanne and ESN EPFL, as well as ESN Switzerland, retain very important to show to the Network and external stakeholders that ESN Switzerland is interested and very much involved in the global discussion about Mobility and that its members embody more than ever the mission, vision & values of ESN International.

The vision and mission of Erasmus Student Network were discussed and approved at the Annual General Meeting in Utrecht in March 2009.
